Ingredients
Bread
Cheese slices
wood/plastic rolling pin to flatten the bread (they can use their hands as well)
toothpicks
Preparation
Give each student a piece of bread and a slice of cheese
Allow some time for the student to flatten their bread with the rolling pin or their hands
Have them place their cheese on top of the bread
Then demonstrate how to roll and have them try it on their own
Finally, place a toothpick to prevent the cheese roll-up from opening
The teacher will cook them during nap time by Melting 2 tablespoons of butter in a large skillet/pan over medium-high heat. They will add some roll-ups to the skillet, cooking until all sides are golden brown and the cheese has melted, about 3-4 minutes, adding more butter as needed.
